Divergent is the last in the line of movies based on a young adult books. Directed by Neil Burger Divergent will premiere in March next year.
The movie is set in a world, well Chicago in the future, where people are divided in five factions according to their behavior, Abnegation (the selfless), Amity (the peaceful), Candor (the honest), Dauntless (the brave) and Erudite (the intelligent). But what happens when you don’t belong to any of the groups? I haven’t read the books but from the trailer you can see that it can’t be nothing good. 🙂
The main role of Tris Prior is played by Shailene Woodley while Ashley Judd plays her mother Natalie Prior. Theo James who we know from Underworld: Awakening plays Four and Kate Winslet plays the character Jeanine Matthews.
Do you think Divergent can achieve the success of The Hunger Games? Or will it be another flop in the series of the more and more popular trend to adapt young adult books into movies?
