The macaws are coming back on the big screen in the sequel simply called Rio 2.
Three years after Blu won the heart of the beautiful Jewel right in the always dancing Rio De Janeiro now a family, Jewel and Blu have different opinions about how they will raise their children. Jewel wants them to venture to the Amazon so they experience the wilderness while Blu is still kind of a home bird.
Again, Jewel is voiced by Anne Hathaway while the voice of Blu is Jesse Eisenberg‘s. Directed by Carlos Saldanha Rio 2 premieres in April 2014.
