Oculus Teaser Trailer starring Karen Gillan and Kate Sackhoff

Oculus is an upcoming horror movie co-produced by Intrepid Pictures and Blumhouse Productions that unites two fan-fiction beloved actresses, Karen Gillan from Doctor Who and Katee Sackhoff from Battlestar Galactica.

The story of the movie is set ten years after two children are left orphans when a supernatural phenomenon bound to a mirror in the new house kills their parents. Back then the older brother is charged for the murders. Today 10 years later, even though the brother has moved on, the sister played by Karen Gillan is determined to prove that the supernatural force originating from the mirror is responsible for the murders.

I suspect that will cause even more death, but hey, it’s a movie. The trailer below, a teaser trailer, is really stylish, especially that first scene when the mirror uncovers itself. If nothing else (like really scaring people) the movie seem to have a great photography and the story is intriguing to a point, where we don’t have the usual “move into a haunted house” type of scenario.

Oculus is directed by Mike Flanagan who also wrote the screenplay.  Starring Karen Gillan, Katee Sackhoff, Brenton Thwaites and Rory Cochrane.
