After becoming famous with his portrayal of a modern day Sherlock Holmes in BBC’s Sherlock tv series, Cumberbatch first appearance in a Hollywood blockbuster was the villain Khan in Star Trek Into Darkness. Following roles in The Fifth Estate (playing Julian Assange) and 12 Years A Slave, last year he was nominated for Oscar for his portrayal of Alan Turing in The Imitation Game.
This year we can’t wait to see him as Dr. Stephen Strange in Marvel’s Doctor Strange.
