Young Detective Dee: Rise Of The Sea Dragon (original: Di Ren Jie Zhi Shen Du Long Wang) is the prequel to the worldwide hit Detective Dee and the Mystery of The Phantom Flame which was also directed by Hark Tsui.
Rise of The Sea Dragon is set during the ruling of the Tang dynasty when the empire is at war with the Kingdom Buyeo. When one of the ships during a sea battle is crushed by a sea monster, Young detective Dee is called upon to investigate the matter. Take a look at the trailer here.
Detective Dee is played by Mark Chao, the rest of the cast is filled by Carina Lau, Kim Bum, Angelababy, Feng Shaofeng.
