The Fault In Our Stars is based on the novel by John Green. It’s a movie about a love story like non other before. Two teenagers meet and fall in love, seems ordinary enough until you realize they met in a cancer support group. Shailene Woodley (from Divergent) plays Hazel, or the girl who is always carrying an oxygen tank with her so she could breed, and Ansel Elgort (wow that is weird) is the boy who is a cancer survivor with a prosthetic leg and jokes about it all the time. Together they try to experience eternity for the time they have available. A daunting task, but love is on their side.
The Fault In Our Stars managed to top the box office this weekend grossing $48M, beating Jolie’s Maleficent and Tom Curise’s Edge Of Tommorow which also premiered this week and garnered quite good reviews by movie critics.
Also starring in the move are Laura Dern and Sam Trammel. Directed by Josh Boone.
