Just a day before the Oscars we get to see the worst movies of the year “acknowledged” at the Razzie Awards.
This year Fifty Shades of Grey (Box Office hit) and Fantastic Four (Box Office bomb) share the title for Worst Picture of the year.
Fifty Shades of Grey also won the award for worst actor, worst actress and on screen combo for Jamie Dornan and Dacota Johnson. With the award for Worst Screenplay, which makes total of 5 Razzies.
Fantastic Four got the Worst Director Razzie (Josh Trank) and Worst Remake, Spin-off or Sequel, so it only has three Razzies on top of not making any money.
It is interesting that Eddie Redmayne got the Razzie for Worst Supporting Actor for his role in Jupiter Ascending, while being nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor with big chances to win.
Jupiter Ascending was also nominated for Worst Director, Worst Picture, Worst Actress and Actor but got of easy with just one Razzie won.
The only positive award at the Golden Raspberries is The Redeemer award, which is given to an actor who previously won a Razzie, but has moved on to more appreciated and critically acclaimed movies. This year the award goes to Sylvester Stallone for his role in Creed, but we doubt it will improve his chances in winning the Oscar for Best Actor.
